I've got the same engine and an edelbrock, and i think i'll die before i cure the off-dle stumble that has plagued me for the past 2 years.

I run a Demon on a built 350 and I have no complaints,we were able to adj for relatively smooth street use,but very responsive w/Edelbrock Performer manifold.

I too can vouch for both carbs.

however the edelbrock one was on a engine running a performer cam, heads and intake, so it worked beautiful.

the demon carb looks awsome and is really tuneable, so choose wisely.

I guess the jist of the post im makeing is, if you like to fiddle go demon, if you want out of the box performance and reliablity use the edelbrock carb.

I've got a 750 cfm Edelbrock Performer (P/N 1407, mechanical secondary with manual choke) for sale. I purchased this carb new from Summit and used it for about two months until my other motor was done. I'll sell this with the fuel inlet line, which is always an extra. e-mail me for a picture. Thanks.

I've been running an Edelbrock on a ZZ4 GMPP motor for about a year, gas milage is good, very reliable and it works great cruising around town. I've spent alot of time tuning with different jets, rods and springs but just can't get a performance I want, lacks topend power (it's a 600 cfm, maybe not enough). Thought about the 750 or the 650 AVS Edelbrocks for a while, but I just bought a Speed Demon this week (on Ebay, comes with fuel line for $415). A friend of mine switched to the 750 Demon a few months back for his 383 GMPP, says it works great, very noticeable performance increase, although it runs a little rich.

I'll let you know how it works, should have it on in about a week.

Out of the box somewhat performance good cruising carb Edelbrock.

Most performance most tunability Demon.

Posted from many years of carb tuning experience:)

I have also seen up to a 30 horsepower gain going with a Demon.

i work at a speed shop and i would run a holley street avenger. the demon carbs are very rich out of the box. its a good carb if your a carb tuner but its not that great until you rework it. edelbrock carb is for your grandpa. you'll notice about 50 hp w/ a holley.

hmm, thanks. i think my engine runs now good enough with the new setup on my Edelbrock.

for the holley´s i have a 10 pound sledgehammer in my garage :lmao:

he doesnt need anything more than a 650 for that engine unless he cammed it too. BG has a 650 already built for the ZZ4 which is a 355hp/400ftlb motor. ive got a 650 speed deom sitting a ZZ4 motor right now. runs great and rich at idle. can not get it to lean out with the idle screws.

I just replaced my Edelbrock 600 with the Barry Grant "ZZ4 650 Vac secondaries" on my ZZ4, and it runs great. Very responsive and much more topend power. I've heard many people having trouble with them running to rich, but mine is fine.

The Edelbrock ran pretty good, after months of tuning it. A great daily driver carb, but I wanted more power.
