Anyone that knows me knows that if it does not have tits or tires, I am pretty much no interested! LOL! But being here in O Town it is hard not to get caught up in the entire Magic Playoffs. I admit it, I am a "fair weather fan". I am one of those guys that watchs when were winning and in the playoffs / Championship contest. I have to say I have enjoyed these playoffs a lot. I have been to one Cleveland game, crazy! We went downtown Saturday night to watch the game on big screens in the streets with a hUGE crowd of partiers. What a perfect senario for Orlando. Perfect weather that night, Magic at home playing 1/2 mile away, most likely to close out the series, and a Saturday night to boot...........it was off the hook downtown. What a economic pop this has been for the Orlando. My son Nicholas is a manager of one of the local Winghouse (kind of like a Hooters) here in Altamonte. The difference between Orlando being in the palyoffs / Championship game and Orlando not being in the payoffs is HUGE for these sports bars!

As a fair weather fan (meaning I watch when we are winning and in playoffs) I do not know a bunch about the teams (s). What I do know though is this Magic team is gritty. I have watched them win some tough games in Boston. And seen them get mugged in Cleveland a couple times, wind up 25 down in the first quarter. And come back and make each game a 1 / 2 point game and even steal one for home court advantage.

Let's face it, they wore Lebron out! He was fricken baked in that last game! You would think with a 20 something point lead in the first quarter, a guy could have coasted! Not with the Magic. Will this be Kobes fate? Or are the Lakers more rounded? I think the lakers are more rounded.

Dwight is very good. But I have not seen that kiler instinct except the last game. And if he hated the calls against Lebron, wait till he is playing Phil Jackson, Kobe and the Lakers!

I know this. This is going to be a expensive couple weeks watching these games, going to and hosting parties.

We cannot wait!

GO MAGIC!

Right there with you Frank. Always great to see your home team winning.

Now we just have a few more games to make it through.

I'm a new Magic fan too. Since we moved here 3 years ago, we've attended a dozen games or so (including playoffs). I'm also a Laker-hater, so I'm amped up for the Finals.

It will come down to the X-factors: Alston, Pietrus, and Lee. Orlando has what it takes: they swept LA this year (2-0). We'll see how they handle the crowd at Staples.

Playoff laker ball can be hit or miss. But overall I believe the lakers have what it takes. We have more good bigs in the paint and have done a good job developing the bench. that will be a major factor each and every game.

My only complaint is Sasha Vujacic. I hope he gets cut and never plays another minute for my beloved lakers. I will be happier to see him leave than I was for Robert Horry.

\Rant off

GO LAKERS!!!!!

I am also partial to thinking the magic will win... an severely injured Rockets team managed to take them to 7 games, playing with a 6-6 center, carl landry who had been shot in the leg a month earlier, and a point guard (Aaron Brooks) who has been called too small and too inexperienced... sorry, I feel like the magic want it more...

We're taking up a collection here in Sacramento. We're gonna send the Magic a case of Visine for Kobe. It almost worked for us. lol

Wow a lot of Laker haters!!!!

I guess we will have a lot of that when the lakers seem to always make it to the playoffs.

"We're gonna send the Magic a case of Visine for Kobe. It almost worked for us. lol"

I think Kobe's KY for SAC town worked better.

Except for some of the members here (Nick, Steve, Carl and a few others) there isn't much that I like that exists between The Grapevine and Dana Point. I'm not really a b-ball fan but I do enjoy a bit of schadenfreude when it comes to LA sports teams.

I don't respect Raider fans regardless of geography. I dislike Al Davis. I have been a fan of a number of Raider players though.

Now those be fighting words. My first dodger game was 1988 game 1 in the world series. I even got a signed ball from Fernando.
