Anyone that knows me knows that if it does not have tits or tires, I am pretty much no interested! LOL! But being here in O Town it is hard not to get caught up in the entire Magic Playoffs. I admit it, I am a "fair weather fan". I am one of those guys that watchs when were winning and in the playoffs / Championship contest. I have to say I have enjoyed these playoffs a lot. I have been to one Cleveland game, crazy! We went downtown Saturday night to watch the game on big screens in the streets with a hUGE crowd of partiers. What a perfect senario for Orlando. Perfect weather that night, Magic at home playing 1/2 mile away, most likely to close out the series, and a Saturday night to boot...........it was off the hook downtown. What a economic pop this has been for the Orlando. My son Nicholas is a manager of one of the local Winghouse (kind of like a Hooters) here in Altamonte. The difference between Orlando being in the palyoffs / Championship game and Orlando not being in the payoffs is HUGE for these sports bars!
As a fair weather fan (meaning I watch when we are winning and in playoffs) I do not know a bunch about the teams (s). What I do know though is this Magic team is gritty. I have watched them win some tough games in Boston. And seen them get mugged in Cleveland a couple times, wind up 25 down in the first quarter. And come back and make each game a 1 / 2 point game and even steal one for home court advantage.
Let's face it, they wore Lebron out! He was fricken baked in that last game! You would think with a 20 something point lead in the first quarter, a guy could have coasted! Not with the Magic. Will this be Kobes fate? Or are the Lakers more rounded? I think the lakers are more rounded.
Dwight is very good. But I have not seen that kiler instinct except the last game. And if he hated the calls against Lebron, wait till he is playing Phil Jackson, Kobe and the Lakers!
I know this. This is going to be a expensive couple weeks watching these games, going to and hosting parties.
We cannot wait!
GO MAGIC!
