Damn, I didn't know you just needed some 17" wheels to be considered pro-touring....

I have to admit, When I looked at the first picture, I thought you were being a bit harse. Then when I looked at the other pics, I totally agree with your sentiment.

J.T.....no, those are the new Baer Drum Brakes with the Dynalite Brake hubs. Their the lastest craze in Pro-Touring.

Might as well make it period correct, pull the 17's and go back to some 15x10 Centerline Auto Drags in the rear, and some 15x7 in the front, then it would look real good, along with the shackel lift kit and the cut off exhaust, right out of the 80's hawhawhaw, Steve

Hey thats how my car got its start, 17 tt2's then I was like well better get 4 wheel discs then was like "well better get some better suspension" now its sitting on stands waiting on GBW's upper and lowers. And while I had it up thought to my self "may as well upgrade to power steering" now as im waiting on my LCA's, Im starting to eyeball new front subframes, WILL IT EVER END!!

Well pro touring its not....but your being a little hard on it. Its a sharp car over all, theres a few things to be desired but id gladly take it under my wing. First and foremost.....bring the back end down

You think he's being hard on it, just read this... Ok, ok, I know I'm a Mustang owner, and I think the first gen Camaros are getting overplayed, but I still usually like them quite a bit (heck, one of my first dream cars was a mint one owner posi'd, 4 speed, 375hp/396, black on black '69 SS/RS, and if I'd had the $1800 and wasn't 13 at the time, I'd still be driving it now).

That eBay car is just plain ugly for some damn reason... I think it's the bad stance, but I'm not digging the paint either. And just add the bulky ugly shifter, ratty interior, grease pit engine, and probably frighteningly shoddy suspension, and I think that thing boarders on giving '69 Camaros a bad name. :poke:

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention the damn ridiculous redneck lift shackles and stick figure like exhaust... That thing needs :help: , which gives me an  .

Ah, that's better... fix the stance, tint the windows, get rid of the shackles and exhaust... just don't open the doors or the hood...

EDIT: I just didn't like the stripe that much, so I toned it back in the second pic...

Grey stripe is more to my liking as well. Are those '68 seats in it?

I wasn't really commenting on its overall appearance, but rather the statement of the car being pro-touring. I think the car looks decent. But a pair of shiny 17" rims doesn't admit you to the club :naughty:.

I may be too harsh on this guy, but I get a bad feeling about this one. My impression:

I think it should be painfully obvious to all who look at it that the salesman took a no-option car, threw a paint job and wheels on it, and is looking to make a homerun. The interior and engine are not correct (and the egine may be new to the car but definitely is not "new"), the exhaust is shade, it's either 4-wheel drum or he didn't even go to the length of getting a booster. Seriously I can't imagine paying $16,000 to BEGIN a project. The paint and body work would have to be both FLAWLESS and EXACTLY what you want, becuase otherwise what are you getting? A set of wheels and a soon-to-be stripped camaro that you MAY be able to get a few grand back on by selling misc parts

"CAR IS NOT PERFECT BUT REALLY IS A NICE CAMARO OVERALL." That's his escape clause when you complain two weeks after buying it that engine smokes, the brakes pull to the right, and the paint is falling off by the handful.

I can't believe it's at 14k and reserve still isn't met. Newer engine, out of a '67 or earlier car, judging by the oil fill in the manifold, looks ratty at any rate. There just seem like a lot of things that point to this guy representing this car as something it isn't. I guess, I just can't see myself buying a used car sight unseen.
