We put the finishing touches on my Pro Touring 77 Nova this past weekend, and I thought I would take the opportunity to post a few pics and a profile of the car for those that might be interested.

Thanks to all that have followed my build thread (both here and on Steve's Nova Site) and to those that have been so very supportive.

Special thanks to my wife (Michele), mom (Paulette), and father (Jim), without whose support and encouragement this project would not have been possible.

Here are some pics:

No I haven't. I originally had my sights set on the Autocross at the Motor State Challenge, but the timing is just not right for that.

This car, though complete, is largely untested and I'm not sure a major event like that is the right venue to turn it loose. I've driven the car some, but haven't pushed it in any significant way. I think I read that the Autocross was at full capacity, anyway.

I'm still planning on bringing it up to Gingerman on Saturday, at least for the car show portion of the day. I'd really, really like to run the road course with it, but I'm not sure that putting an untested car on the track with other cars is fair to everyone else, or safe for that matter.

Besides, I ran a little over budget here at the end of the project and I don't have a helmet. . .:pat:
