Yeah, the Nascar version......do they share anything with the street LS1 series? like the block, heads or anything.....?
seeing their not the latest and greatest in Nascar now you can pick them up for like 8g's, single carb, dry sump.....a 9:1 Busch one makes 700 hp.

And 10 LBS of torque! Those motors make HORRIBLE street motor becuae of no low end torque. The SB2 heads work good with a bunch of cubes under them. 427, 434, 454 can swallow up some of that monster head. But for smaller 358CI engines to use those heads, you need huge high RPM cams which make ugly low end torque.
We have a 427 SB2 project were doing now, look for a report.

SB2 is a small block based motor and shares nothing with a LS type motor. Like frank said monster heads on a small block. They sound really good about 7800 rpm. Not a steet car deal at all in small cubes.
