You can place an order as soon as you'd like. We won't have them ready to ship until early to mid July, however.

Oh hell yes. We got about 80% of the way there at ATS but the R&D was too high to continue since we were going to make it a triple master assembly setup on the firewall to match.

I love that look.

The only other finish would possibly be just a machined finish. I anodized a set black, but the detail just went away, visually.

Yelcamino,

That would be possible, but would be a "one-off" piece. How much wider are you thinking? These are just a tad over 2 inches wide.

I have no idea, it was just a thought that popped into my head.

I remember reading somewhere that professional road race cars have pedals designed specifically for heel/toe driving. I assume the spacing between the brake and gas pedal is optimized for one foot. I figured if the gas pedal was a little wider than standard it might help when using one foot on two pedals.

Maybe someone else with more experience will chime in...

Clay...those are awesome. Can't wait to get a set of those. One question for you though..are they going to be offered in a polished finish or just the finish in the picture? Main reason I'm asking is I'm also looking to get a new emergency brake set up and the closest that design would be the Lokar ones. I see they come in polished so was hoping to have a matching set. Or...do you guys have any plans to come out with an emergency brake pedal set up?

Thanks Redfire...We're hoping to have the automatic prototypes fairly soon. As you can imagine, the pedal will be just a longer version of the manual pedal. As soon as I have images, I'll post them.

Scherp69,

Right now, we're planning on offering the finish you see pictured, and in a raw finish. There is a possibility that we'll have a polished version, but haven't nailed that down 100% yet. Regarding the e-brake, I know we're thinking about a pedal cover, but to do an entire e-brake assembly is up for debate.

Yes, we will have a drive-by-wire setup. The only difference will be the throttle pedal. You will remove the stock pedal and replace it with ours. You will still use the stock throttle assembly.

looking set of pedals.

It appears the bushing in your set is thicker than the cheesy one from GM. Does this take the side to side slop out of the pedals?

For the most part, we had to use the same bushings as the stock unit. The side-to-side slop will be minimized by the closer tolerances on the pin (included in the kit) from which the pedals hang.

I'm looking at getting two.. one for Track Rat and one for Penny.. they are just beautiful looking..

Curious about the fly-by-wire deal...

As for finishes I would offer the grey and the raw. That way if someone wants something special (ie, polished, black, etc) they can buy the raw and have it done.

Those were my initial plans...grey anodized and raw, so the end user can do as he/she chooses in terms of alternative finishes.

Regarding the drive-by-wire; I dont want to re-design that whole assembly, so for this setup there will be a throttle pedal which will replace the stock pedal (very simple procedure). There will also be a "cover" that is virtually identical to the lower throttle arm (pictured above) that will slip over and fasten to the drive-by-wire throttle arm. Granted, you won't be able see through it as pictured, but the overall look will have the same effect.

I saw these this weekend at Motorstate Challenge. They are killer! The only thing that concerns me is that the gas pedal could lose adjustment if the bolt comes loose. I like the idea of the splines in the Lokar pedal. (Unless I missed something)

The ones you saw are prototypes, and there simply wasnt enough time to broach the arms on the throttle assembly. In production, they will be broached (splined). Other than that, they will look exactly as you saw them. Oh, and thanks for the compliment!

Why dont you let the buyer decide whether they want black hard anodize or not?

Why dont you let the buyer decide whether they want black hard anodize or not?

We would love to offer them in virtually any color to suit each individual's taste, however that's not very feasible. They will be offered in raw finish, which will allow those that want a particular color, the ability to have it done themselves.

I would also like to add, if demand dictates black anodizing, then we'll offer it in addition to the options we currently have (raw finish and grey).

Modify the poll to see interest?

Not familiar with the grey anodize, is that a similar process to the black? Is it hard like the black?

Modifiying the poll would not be a fair assesment as to the potential demand of black, since those that have voted for the other finishes can not place another vote. I'm not even sure the poll can be modified once it's been posted.

The grey is hard-coat, just with no tint. If you'd like a black set, email us your application, billing and shipping info, and we'll make it happen.

Thought I would throw a little informative post in here about anodizing. NOT ALL Black anodize is hardcoat. Most anodizing you will see is Type II anodizing.

Hardcoat is actually Type III anodizing.

After everything imaginable going wrong, we're finally shipping the pedal assemblies. Camaro set-ups are ready and shipping, with the A-body versions next, which are in engineering right now. About 3 weeks and those will be shipping as well.

Hopefully a dumb question, but....

so if the chevelle pedals would fit a cutlass, would they also bolt into a '66 GTO/Lemans? I've tried cross referencing the original bracket assembly for the throttle in my parts manuals, but the manual has an incorrect illustration, only has the "group" number, and I don't know the data for the chevelle to compare it to.

I have a 67 Chevelle and when I went looking for the 3rd pedal I know there were interchange issues... GTO and years...

Not this year, but planning on it for next year. I'll be there Thursday and Friday, however. FYI within the next several weeks we'll be wrapping up details on our new inside door handles and window cranks that match our pedal assemblies. These renderings show them polished, but they will have the same finish as the pedals.

What about adding flat handle like the Camaro Deluxe Interior?

You guys messed up now. Now you "HAVE" to make a matching steering wheel. It's just the fair thing to do. Hahaha

I just gotta say something here. I've been working with Clay on some things and he is one class guy. Clay - Thanks! Everyone else - he's one of that group of folks (there are some more on this site also) who I sincerely hope continue to grow their business. Can't say enough.

I'll be posting some pics of some stuff before too long. If all your product is as good as what I've held in my hands, you've got some great stuff.:1st:

Good Morning!

I went to the website to order and noticed that the pricing there is $659 verses the quote at the begining of this thread of $575 for Manual.

Is there a Pro-Touring discount?

TT,

The beginning of this thread was about 6 months ago, and since then, we've had increases in costs from some of our suppliers. Several components in this assembly are contracted out, and unfortunately when they jack us up on the costs, we have no other recourse than to pass along the costs to the consumer. In addition, there are numerous manufacturing processes associated with this project (machining, injection molding, stamping, laser cutting, etc.) and the costs simply kept adding up. Hopefully, when you see these in person, you will appreciate the amount of work that went / goes into these, and will feel that the price we have now is well worth what you get in return.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions on these or any other products we offer.

I want to keep the throttle rod set up I have is there an option to get just the pedals arm assemblies (clutch and brake) and the accelerator pedal pad only and not the accelerator arm, or can the machined arm be modified to run the factory style throttle rod

Rusty,

You can order yours as if it's a drive-by-wire application. It doesn't appear that any mods are needed to make the accelerator pedal work for your situation.

Erik,

The DBW set-up is cheaper than the conventional throttle assembly, since with the DBW comes with the throttle pedal only. The manual DBW is $615 and the auto DBW is $435.

Clay, how do these adapt to an LS1 hydraulic clutch conversion?

Erik,

These are designed to drop right into the stock pedal hanger/bracket as well as utilze existing clutch, brake rods, etc. However, it's obvious that we need to develop an "adapter" to fit applications such as yours.

Here is an image I found that shows what has previoulsy been done to accomodate a LS1 hydraulic clutch to a '69 Camaro pedal assembly. This image came from a build that was on Street And Performance's website.

I hope this helps.

Or you can use ATS modified hydraulics; they bolt up to factory pedals with out the need for an addtional adapter. I gave Ron Wilson a firewall bracket and hydraulic master to give to you to add that feature to your pedals; I'm guessing it never reached you.

Tyler,

Thanks for the input, and no I never received the parts. I'll check on them and see if we can get them headed this way.

Clay, I am using an American Autowire Classic Update kit on my 69 and the pedal are hitting the fuse box - it will have to be relocated about an inch. Have you had any issues with this?

Gerald,

Bill Panouses had the same problem with Evade. I'm pretty sure he has the same fuse-box, and the issue was the signal flasher interfered. He simply mounted the flasher in a remote location and it worked fine. I hope this solves your problem. If there's anything else I can do, feel free to give me a call.

Steve, Did you spring for these? Just wondering how the heel-toe worked for you....the factory spacing works for me, so if this mimicks the same spacing it should be fine.....just asking to see if someone has purchased these and their opinion of them.

(send me a PM if you don't have a favorable comment that you want to share in the open forum)

John,

The pedal spacing on ours is the same as the OEM pedal assembly, so you should be fine.

The steering wheel is a ways off. Here are our latest products, and should be shipping in a few weeks. Door handles that match our pedal assemblies, as well as two new fender braces.

Clay...just wondering about the raw finish you offer. I know you have a DBW set up that includes the pedal cover, but I was looking at the new Lokar DBW pedal. I would swap out their cover for yours. I know the design of their arm is a bit different, but I don't think many people would notice the difference in the two. And if they are close enough to see the difference, I better be standing beside them. :) What I'm wondering though, how close do you think the color of the arms would be in raw finish in comparison to the Lokar arm? Do you have any pics with the pedals in raw finish. Here's the new Lokar for comparison:

Mike,

We don't offer them in a raw finish....only powdercoated. I think, your best best would be to send us the Lokar throttle arm, and have us powdercoat it the same as ours. That way, it will all be dead on matching.
