My power steering box on the LS1 engine is making noise after car warms up. I have a power steering cooler which is stock that came with the engine from a WS6, 4 wheel disk, hydrobooster and late '80 fast ratio steering box. Lines are teflon with stainless braid.
I read somewhere that those lines make noise. Is that true? and why not as soon as doesnt make noise but after wams up? Or do I have another problem?

Have you checked to see if the fluid level is low?

Yes, fluid level is fine.

Air in the system? What does it sound like? Does it make the noise at idle, or while turning the wheel? How hot is the fluid when it starts to make noise?

As far as I know if there is air it should make noise as soon as the engine starts.

what pump are you running? What size lines?

1 . I have an inline WS6 power stering cooler on the upper radiator hose which was stock on the engine. Lines are I beleive -5 aerokuip power steering lines with teflon inside and braided steel outside.

Are you running a remote resevoir? What fluid?

Does the noise pitch change with RPM?

have a flush done and use a full synthetic dot 3 power steering fluid. One shop I worked for ,we started usin g it and had great results with it in noisy ford ps pumps.

Do you have a remote reservoir? If so is it baffled? It might be aerating.

it almost sounds like the pump is cavitating, creating bubbles. what fluid is in there?

I know its probably not but it almost sounds like the pulley is too big. Like the pump needs more rpms, or its aerating.

Jeff i gues your right as i have 15% under drive pullys!!, i could also go for a high rpm at idle i gues..
