man I was hoping he was gonna zing at least once. Not much better than an LT5 at full song. Callaways were cool. Still are I guess.

Agreed!

If that's what you want...

I don't know how many times I've watched that black Z's video. Sounds wicked.

The Callaway double D exhaust is sick. There's a C6 at my gym that's running it. Looks/sounds perfect.

Anyone know if there was ever one of these in the Chicago area? I saw a Callaway Corvette back in the later 90s and have since been trying to figure out what it was. The front on the LM does remind me of it a bit

Same here!

What I like is that motor was a naturally aspirated 427 cid LT-5.

Nows the time to build your own,ZR1's are about as cheap as they ever will be.......

Agreed.

And the motors of course are cheaper than ever (swap into a 1st gen ...hmmm) and making more power than ever. Those guys have no parts support from GM any longer, so they have taken matters into their own hands.

The Brotherhood of the Beast gets things done. :1st:

The black 427 LT-5 above sounds even nastier here (?)

Here's one with the Callaway Aerobody front end.

HAHA I like the diff/exhaust scraping the pavement on the black one!!

I liked that run!

It's very expensive to build a 427 LT-5, but they have a sound all their own...

The Callaway Aero Coupe body panels are beautiful to me. Sledgehammer is one of my all time favorite cars ever. That's the Aero Coupe body panels on it.

Callaway made an LM roadster as well as the coupe.

The guy in that black car can shift.

This guy seems to know as much about the Callaways and ZR1s as anyone out there - maybe because he owns most of them..........

Great link thanks for posting those.
I've seen his 500 cid '80 Fleetwood (since sold) ...very slick.

Interesting about what you said about the 1990 cars. It seems though from the posts I read here http://www.zr1netregistry.com/ those guys still want the 405 hp motor on the ZR-1 when they're looking to buy one.

Sorry. I got mixed up and was thinking of the C12. The headlights look the same to me as the LMs. http://www.z06-corvette.com/super/callaway-c12.htm
