Had a Blast at the PSMC the party at Road Killers was a lot of fun the band and food was great. The drag racing at Paradise very cool lot of bad cars. The autocross was a little wet but got a few laps in before the storm looking forward to next year.

Good to see you Chris ..
It was nice to meet your parents this weekend.
You were a real trooper too.

For those who don't know , Chris drove his car a couple of hours each way to the events for all three days.( That's twelve hours of driving )
Plus , he broke the spring perches loose on his car at the dragstrip Saturday.
( After about 30 runs on the dragstrip. and lots of power , and when it hooked ......POW !)

But , they took the car to David Sloans shop and re-welded the spring perches .
Chris drove home , and was back Sunday , giving his car Hell on the autocross.
His car is the beautiful black '69 Camaro.

at this event! I thought I was going to make it through without have to mess with my car. Not a chance. Beat on my car all day at the drag strip. No traction, my best was 8.7x but I got it to trap at 103.xx. My friend David Conrad in a big block 69 hammered my butt every time we raced except for one time. I never had anything for Andrew, his car left too good on that slick track and I could never run him down.

Anyway, shut my hood and double checked it like I always do leaving the cruise Saturday night. Driving down the road for about 5 minutes and WHAM! Hood flies open with me doing about 35 or 40. Scared me to death. Hood is fine, tore up my hinges. The wonderful people at PSMC pulled over and we had it off and I was back on the road in 5 minutes. I felt like I was back in Arkansas red necking it up with no hood on my car.

Drove it the next day at the autocross and then pulled it home for 6 hours in a down pour. Rolled it off the trailer and it fired up first turn of the key.

By the way, GM still makes hood hinges for 1st gens. I called today and I could have had them in 2 days....at $170 a piece. I guess GM is trying to use me as bail out money. Still shopping.

This event is very similar to the RTTH gig and I reccommend it highly. Counting down the days until next year, hopefully it will not rain out the auto cross.

David, thank you for a wonderful time! It was great seeing everyone.

Yeah , Payton .
You sure know how to make a memorable impression at all these events.
Last year it was the belt tensioner at RTTH's and this year the hood.
LOL !!

But seriously , thanks for coming down !!
Your participation was golden ...
