Hello everyone, I have an 1987 iroc with a 350 in it right now.

I am in the procces of doing a head/cam/intake swap. I am looking for a dyno shop that would be willing to tune my car that knows what their doing. looking for one close to rockville(20854) or silver spring (20902) but i dont mind driving (well trailering my car ) if the shop is worth it.

if you guys have anyquestions just send an instant message to me at toxik iroc or email to [email protected]

Hmmmm.... good question. I used to live in that area, but I don't recall any such shops.

Cool car though, have any pics?

It's motorcycle thing. If you keep the "shiny side up," then you're doing it right!

Not to far up the road from you in Frederick, MD. Nice shop with full engine and chassis dyno facilities. George and the guys are great to deal with!

Go to ELD Performance. Its in Millersville. They do amazing work... They are working on a few right now. I was just down there dropping off my 67. Speak to Jamie, he owns it, he was on Pinks a few times. 410-729-8418. Tell him your a friend of Dan from NY. I trailer all the way down there to get my cars tuned.

After calling many places and talking to many people I've found a shop I like which is caled "its about time auto" in rockville wich is very close to where i work so makes sense to me.

they do just abit more than dyno tuning....as in everything....

Pretty old thread, so if you see this...why do you recommend MPC? What did they do for you that was so good?

I blew my trans before I got to get it dyno'd HAHAHA .So I eitiher could keep my 700r4 and rebuild it with better internals or go t56( winch would make me have to buy a new xmember, redo my exhaust once again ( I am actually happy with it this time) but t56.....6 spd are awesome.

Life has been hard (surprise surprise) So I have not been able to fix the trans yet..I am just doing all the small little things that needed to get done. I should be able to have it running by spring, been taking on a lot of extra work so I'm saving as much as I can.

I am looking for a shop still, its about time auto is a great shop that I have been using since 2009 for any work I can't do my self. But they don't have an in house dyno.... other than that I HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM.

so why do you recommend MD Performance in Frederick?

I would recommend MPC in Frederick because they have done several cars for me and all have been solid. I had a Cobra that George built at 427 Tunnel Port motor for and the car was a beast. The motor in the 67 that he built for me is almost 7 years old and the car runs 10's and I can drive it anywhere I want. Never had a problem with the motor since it's been in the car. He did most all of my work on this car other than paint and interior. They have their own dyno shop (chassis and engine) so you know who is tuning your car. They are not cheap but they know their stuff. I have also used these guys to Dyno my TT V12 Mercedes and some late model Mustangs. They do motors for drag cars, scca, monster truck etc... Give George a call and tell him Derrick spoke highly of him.

MPC is really a toss up. On one hand I know lots of guys who are completely satisfied with them while on the other hand I have a friend who they really screwed over. I mean...everything they did was wrong...so wrong. They really did him dirty...stuff that makes you think the shop had it out for the guy.

I would go there...talk to the guys...see the shop...get a tour...and see what you think. I have been there before and to be honest, they did help me out. I just don't understand why they did what they did to my friend??

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!!

btw...have you triend Auto Fab in Jessup?

I'm going to b e looking for a shop to dynotune my Iroc this summer as well. I've hear good things about MPC and ELD. Anyone heard of or had experiecnce with F-Body Central? http://fbodycentral.com/

You still running the standard ECM with a chip? Might be why if so, no tuning capabilities. I'm switching to DFI, will allow for full tuning capabilities.
