Hi all!
Just wanted to show off my latest cruiser. It started off as a stock Biscayne pulled by the extremely powerful straight six and PG.
This one is built just for fun and some slow cruising..
Got it back from paint jail yesterday, so a lot more work before its done, but we`re gettin there:1st:

Powerplant is a 383 stroker with a lot of goodies including aluminium heads, MSD ign Edelbrock 750, full roller etc topped off with a huge ramair system.
Tranny is a new enforced turbo 350 with a 2600 stall converter.
New disc brakes and a lot more planned, but will go in small steps since i want to drive it a little bit this summer too:-)

The pic of the brown one is how it was before:-)

A lot of progress in a short time, but still a long way to go to get it 100% finished. Added a 383 stroker with ZZ4 aluminium heads and a lot of goodies.
New interior, ol`school Firestone dragster slicks rear and MT street radials up front with dog dish caps. Starting to look pretty cool IMO!!
What do you guys think?...:-)

Finally the car is up and running!!
And pretty strong I might add!!!
The 383 stroker is working way over my expectations!!!:1st:
The MSD system along with a modified Edelbrock carb and the airgap intake really makes a difference!
Got a prepped 350 turbo with a 10" stall converter for hard and fast take offs:-)
Put on a 3" summit dual exhaust with a X-flow kit too. Sounds pretty sweet!!
What do you guys think?...

Nice car. I really like the ram air setup. Plenty of room for some big wheels and tires if you want to change it up at times, but it looks great with the rallys and dog dish hubcaps.

Norwaycamaro
07-14-2009, 11:09 AM
Thanks:-)
I`m gonna adjust the ram air a little bit later though.
Moving the battery to the trunk makes it possible to route the tubes out in the front corners almost inside the front fenders.
Then cut out a vent on each side to get a fully functional ram air system.
A lot of people has allready commented on the wheels. Especially wondering what kind of rear tires i`m running.
Like people havent seen slicks before:) Hehe they`re old school Firestone Dragsters and I think they give it a more true 427" look.
Been playing around with Coys in 18+20" in my mind though, but we`ll see...:smoke:

Awesome, I love the old "big body" Chevy's. It's easy to find a solid Biscayne or Monte Carlo. Good chance of having a big block!

Only 2 1967 Chevrolet Biscayne in Norway so far it seems : )

Fairly rare here : D

Absolutely wonderful car! I love the old Firestone drag-race tires with the dog-dish 'caps. Really makes the car look period correct!

I have a 66 Biscayne at the shop now and they are such a nice simple car. This one is owned by Ro McGonegal who used to be the editor for Hot Rod back in the day and we are currently doing a couple updates for a Chevy Hi-Performance story.

The car has a 454ci C5R based LS engine with LS3 top end, T56 trans and a 9 inch. I will have to get a few more pics of the car to show the Fikse wheels better, but she is a cool driver for sure.

Mike!
Just picked up a 2000 LS1 + auto tranny combo for mine now too!!
The 383 stroker will be moved over to my 68 camaro pt project, so the Biscayne will have the LS1 this winter:-)
I have enjoyed it all summer, so about time for some changes you know:-)....

Can I ask why you're running MT drag radials on the front?

Norwaycamaro
12-21-2009, 11:58 AM
Well... Originally i wanted classic nostalgia radial tires like redlines or something, but at the time they were unavailable in the specific size i wanted, so its more like a substitute or plan B if you like;.)
Turned out pretty good anyway IMO:-)

Very cool car! I like it!!

There is one near me in a light cream color with a 454 and a 5 speed, but it looks just lie it rolled off the showroom floor with the 427/4 speed including the dog dish caps. I would love to have on like either of these.:twothumbs

Norwaycamaro
12-21-2009, 12:49 PM
That was my original plans aswell, but figured that some modern muscle wouldnt hurt either.
Going for a LS1 transplant this winter and some more handling like large sway bars front and rear, plus disc brakes rear also. Not going for pure pro touring stance, but old school combined with pt handling:-)...

That's a really cool ride! If you put a 427 LS in it, you would have the correct badges already :poke:
