How much of a pain in the ass is it and is it even worth it? does the 70 front clip work with all the bolt holes on the 80 or did it change significantly?

Should work. Inners may be different. Not sure about the core support on camaros. Good luck.

Well the only reason I wanted to do it is because the core support is rotted out and I figured I'd just scoop up a 70 front end and core support and start modifying what I had to but I might just leave it if i can't find a front clip for the right price

IIRC you have to change everything fenders forward. Only the hood & hinges can stay. Inners s/b ok as well. Then you still have the wrong rear end, wrong rear window...

Search NastyZ28.com, it's been discussed ad-naseum...

You may not be looking for opinions, but if it were me, I'd leave it the 80's style. Its a decent style that still looks good. Granted, the 70-73 is an awesome style, but with an 80's rear end and a 70's front end, it just doesnt look right to me.

With fewer and fewer 80's second gens around, they are becoming more appreciated. I think your car would be worth more if it were to be kept in the original style versus mixing body styles.

Oh no man don't get the wrong idea, I love opinions and to each his own and yes i agree I see very few of camaros like mine I just love the 70's front end but for now I'm prolly just going to leave it and see how it turns out I'm just really stuck for a good color scheme on it...granted I still have tons of body work to do I was gunning for a canary yellow with black hood and trunk lid and all black trimming. That camaro there is awsome too I've seen it a few times before, that was pretty much my inspiration for the front end going on it
