Have the rearend out getting a rebuild and some upgrades. Should I buy a cover with the bearing girdle? Do they really help at all?

Car has 400+ hp and tq at the wheel and drag radials. Also getting shocked by a manual.

I've heard it helps from an expert in the field. It makes sense to me to provide a little extra support for the bearing caps.

However, he also warned about tightening the cap supports too much. Doing so will cause problems.

The cover can help by bracing the caps and supporting the huge hole in the back of the housing. It might be a good idea in your case.

Yes, I sell them. They have different names on them, depending on where they come from. T/A puts different names on them for their dealers. Moser has their name on them as well as some others. Do you want one from Moser or somewhere else?

I'll look it up when I get back to the shop. If I forget then please send me an email to [email protected] to remind me.
