I was chatting with a fellow member here about the lack of Fords and Mopars on this site. Just a reminder that Pro-Touring.com does not discriminate by make or model. A Cougar is just as welcome as a Camaro. I wouldn't want anyone to think we're "uppity".

I've always felt welcome here with my Cadillac, at least after winning RSE, and we're buildin' AMC's and Poison Dart.

Hell yea.. I love to see variety on this board.. just because I am a sheeple and own Camaros does not mean I don't appreciate all sorts of cars..
Hey Jeff.. heard you are gonna be in PHR ;)

I've always felt welcome enough, but it is pretty obvious that the GM boys hold the majority. That usually means that topics can tend towards being GM centricity (especially with tech). But I've always been able to abstract from those discussions some very useful and insightful information.
For the heck of it, I'm gonna post another thread inviting non GM members to post up... look for it...

I wish there were more Fords and Mopars on the site. I enjoy seeing other pro-touring builds, not just Chevys.

I'll be posting when I start to do more g-machine related stuff to my car, and I run into problems :scared:
Got a '69 Mustang Fastback btw.
My twin bro got an '70 'Cuda that will also getting the g-machine treatment, but for now we're both lurking. Ford and Mopar stuff will be posted.

I've never felt unwelcome here. Good community. Just not enough time to post on ALL the various forums. I'm "pro-car", not "anti-brand" - we can all get some great info and ideas from (almost) ANY car, no matter what name is on the fender. :yeah:

hay, I am one of those non gm owners. I own a 68 charger that I have done A LOT to!! Just to name off a few items, 17" weld ZETA's, 4 wheel wilwoods, all stainless brake lines, and fuel lines, custom made rear leafs, made from mopar units, my own design tubular upper control arms, and I think the best thing I could of don to the car, power rack in pinion steering. I used a GM rack for the application, and it works really good. After i worked the bugs out of it, it is a dream to drive comparing to the stock power box.
If I knew how to post pics, I would.

This is one of the things I found interesting about my new subscription to Street Thunder magazine. I don't LOVE all the cars but the variety is refreshing. This includes not only manufacturer variety, but also style/build themes. PT.com obviously isn't the place for metal chunk wild lime green and orange graphics, gold plated hydro pumps, and 13" wheels but certainly a variety of makes is a VERY good thing. As for the magazine, I can appreciate a car lovers enthusiam, engineering, and attention to detail, even if it's not mainstream or my stream.
P.S. Bill...my spell check has never worked, I don't get it?

Heck any board that listens to a guy building a pro-touring mini van cant be all that bad. I think its pretty cool, now all we need is a test 0- 55- pick kids up- drop dog off - get groceries - and back to 0 test.

Hey,
Someone should show MannyZ how to post a pic of his 68 Charger. It sounds like an interesting project to see!
