Congratulations Ron on having your car in the new Toyo tires ad. The ad was in the July 2009 Car Craft but should be coming out in more mags as well. The car looks awesome!

I saw that...
Very cool! The real question is do they work well though?

They hold a steady 1g without even trying hard and peaks of 1.1-1.2. I'm also hefty at 3800lbs with me in the car. They seem to hold up fairly good at the track too. 15 laps of Willows main track at 95 deg and they didn't miss a beat. Very consistent.

Yeah... but do they work well?

Very cool!
That would be a cool match up considering they should have the other's engine in their car to be "correct"

I emailed Stan...He said that having the car in the ad should be enough...
I gave him the sob story, about the short notice, accommodating work day off from photo shoot date changes, getting a trailer, driving 150 miles round trip in the rain....Hearing the small violin? LOL
No tires...no pictures from the shoot..nada
He did say that he would give me a very very good price on tires when I need them. We'll check on that tomorrow and see what the very very good price is.

I really dig the look of that Mustang. Makes me want to start another project. He did an unbelievable job with such a small budget.
I'm sure it's a mad runner. Has he weighed it yet? I can't imagine it being over 3000lbs with driver. That with 450hp LS motor is going to be in the low 6's pwr/weight. Mine is 5:1 at (3800lbs/750hp). His should definitely shine over mine in the corners. I'm a street happy bloat!:)
Now that I have the calculator out, Steve's Bad Penny has around the same pwr/weight as mine. (3300lbs/630hp) Is that about right?
Moral of the story: Lighter is always better!
