View Full Version : Info on a disc brake upgrade for a Gbody

I remember reading here or on one of the other forums, about upgrading the front brakes on a G-body .
I was about keeping your current spindles, and machining down an old brake rotor to adapt/fit a Covette rotor over it, or something like that.
It was also required to cut something off the spindles to fit a bracket for the correct caliper to mount
Sounds familar?

I am doing that swap on my S10, except going with the camaro stuff so I can still run my 16s. Same deal though, just a different adapter bracket.
I don't have any pics yet though, sorry.
I bought the brackets and hubs from Bad94 (pretty sure he goes by that on this forum also), and sourced the calipers, abutments, and rotors elsewhere. I also had a local place machine the spindles for me, but bad94 offered modded spindles too.
In case you didn't know, Gbodies and S10s use the same spindles.
