Guys thinking about picking this up for $1500 runs like a champ fresh rebuild on the 350 motor and trans combo, needs driver side floor board as well, trunk pan good passanger floorboard good, all there untouched except dual exhaust already added, but a few concerns regarding the body work can some on shed some light on this. A few areas of concern

Tell mw what you think? Very hard to find a running driveable project car these days for this price

I beleive for the price it's not too bad. I bet they make replacement panels for that year.

Love the "Porn Star" sticker. You might check past owners, you could have a cleb ride on your hands. Maybe Ron Jermey or Jenna J.?

The most important rule about project cars is that you should spend as much as you possibly can upfront to avoid paying even more to fix it up.

THANKS GUYS , I REALIZE THE UPFRONT MORE SCENARIO BUT when your making the mortgage, and kids its a little hard to get the ride you actually want, so you have to make due with whats in your "price" range just to secure a project.

As I state i was hoping some one with one of these cars could shed some light on what to look out for????

So you found a 1970 Firebird 350 auto for $1500. COOL CAR!
I sorta like those years as well :)

FYI, the 70-73 years they made the least amt of & they currently make the fewest repo parts for... The window channel will be a MF to do. You prob got rot all up in the upper trunk mount area. I would put $ on the fact that all 4 corners will need patches at a min & poss full 1/4's for the rear. The endura is no big deal. How is the trunk, floors, cowl, bottoms of doors, frame rails, etc.??? Post more pics.

Is it worth it or not... well... that depends on a lot of different factors. PM me if you want to talk more :)

if your on a tight budget the last thing you want to do is buy a car that is a "can of worms". Which that car is, unless your planning on just being OK with the body how it is. If your looking for something to fix up and restore, that car is about 20K away from being not rusty. I would just hold off and not buy it personally, its just too rough, it needs everything. Even if you are capable of doing the work your self, your going to be thousands into sheetmetal and probably will be a very long term project as a shell in the garage.
look through this guys projects, he knows how to fix a rusty shell. And probably what the car your looking at really needs..

I would look it over real good and asses whats good vs whats bad If it gets to be too much work you might be able to salvage alot of good parts off it for less than buying them seperately. The stuff like the drivetrain bumpers trim bolt on sheetmetal interior pieces ect.Then use them on a more solid starting point.

I would look for a more solid car even if a roller. Two major problems is they do not make full quarters for the 70-73 if needed and I am not sure about the nose either. Looks pretty ate up.
