Agree, the side of the front reminds me of a Chysler 300.

Maybe it'd look better with the round lights of the 2nd gen bird. The current front isn't doing much for me.
The rear I could live with after a tail light change.

I don't know. I kind of like the front. Give me one in white with the blue stripe down the middle. Then I will decide if I want one.
I'd drive it before I drove a new maro

Pretty cool take on it. Has a few similarities to the one I'm working on.

I like it, even the front end.
But the Mustang-esque side scoops really don't belong on it.

someone did a rendering a while back that showed it with late 70's "Bandit" styling that looked pretty damn good.
here is a white one, but there was also a black one with gold trim and snowflake wheels.

The front end on the first one is hideous... the 77-78 style nose on the white one above is MUCH BETTER. :)

They missed the mark. There are a couple renderings around with the 77 / 78 nose that are WAY more reconizable and look better to.
To not play off the Bandit is a huge mistake.

I like the 455 style hood scoop, but they should have gone Burt Reynolds all the way!

I like it except for the nose too. Bandit style from 78 would be better. Otherwise very cool!

Does the value then drop by half like with 1st gen f bodies? :2nd:

I like it. I definitely prefer Kevin Morgan's 77-78 style design better... but this ASC is not bad at all in my book. The square headlights do throw you at first, but considering the crease line in the fenders it would have been tough to make them more roundish and not have it clash I think. That said, it just lends credence to Frank's comment above about the 77-78... it's more of an angular look and probably could have been integrated better into the lines one the fenders. I don't know... anyway, I like it! :)
The Mustang-esqe vents behind the doors though should be flipped and moved to the front fenders where they belong on a T/A.

Side vents and the nose are a no-go. That back is not bad, although MO it harkens back to the later ones (78+) more that the early ones.

Low blow! :squint:
I really don't care for the design of it. I think the previously released renderings would have been a better template for the car.

Front end looks too thick.
Like a double chin.
It needs a diet.
Why do all the new car designs look so bloated ??
They all look like the cartoon cars from Roger Rabbit or the Chevron Commercials.
Nothing looks sleak and aerodynamic any more.

The vents should be on the front not on the rear like the Mustangs. Looks good though.

Part of the problem is that anything they intend to sell in Europe must pass some strange pedestrian impact law meant to help keep pedestrians from going under the car when you hit them. And here I thought you weren't supposed to do that!

Wierd that they chose to go with a 2nd gen pontiac design on a 1st gen themed platform.
I would much rather see the 1st Gen T/A theme become a reality.

Yeah, they would have been better round. And the side cladding is a little much, but it's cool to see.
