Is this do able ?
Are there any league problems?
If there is moneys left over after the event it can go to a charity.(I like the Shirners they help kids)

OK we have some Killer Sponsors an friends here.

As every body knows money is tight an things are rough, BUT

Our Sponsor http://www.jakesrodshop.com/ is giving a front sub frame to Pro-Touring.com to raffle off to help put the PSMC event on.
https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=100

And My good Friend Jeff Tate from Days Chevys Parts dept.http://www.dayschevrolet.com/
Has donated the upper an lower control arms an spindles to go with the frame to raffle off as well.
EDIT >> you dont have to be present at the event to win, but you would have to pay shipping

We will work the details out but we are thinking that there will be some thing like a 100 tickets at $50 a ticket.
SO Lets here it what do you guys think?
Thanks

I dunno about "league" problems.. LOL

but wont it be a problem if the guy who wins doesnt have a specific model? ...so if its a camaro clip and hes got a road runner.

then he'd have to sell it himself.

just sell it to me and you can go give the money to charity..

LOL!

Well the person that buys a ticket will most likely have a camaro or a nova that the frame will fit any way.
I am sure that it will be a 1st gen camaro or 2nd gen nova front frame.
That way its not like you are getting parts for something you don't have or need.
Thanks Guys

Do you have to attend to be eligible? I'd buy a ticket if not. But I have a 2nd gen, so I don't know what I'd do with a first gen sub.

When we had US Camaro Club we did raffles for years, raffled a couple dozen high end cars. It has been a while, things may have changed, but you have to run it through a charity, and all profits have to go to the charity, and you have to accept one free hand written entry ticket per day from any one that sends one. We always had a cop do the drawing one video. Yes, we had a winner that did not buy a ticket.

My friend tried to raffle a $450K house, a prison guard made a deal with 50 prisoners to all send one entry per day for 6 months. My friend was only selling 5000 tickets if I remember right. The prisoners were sending in 50 entries a day! It was almost certain the prisoners were going to win the house. My friend cancelled the raffle, refunded everyones paid entry, and got sued by the prisoners!

You just need to find a raffle friendly state. I buy a $50 ticket for a 3rd gen Nova frame!

David,

Not to be a buzzkill here, but there are legal problems with throwing your own raffle.

If you're doing this in GA, you'll either want to talk to a GA attorney, or talk to a GA non-profit about how to do it.

http://www.gambling-law-us.com/Charitable-Gaming/Georgia/raffles.htm

"(m) Any person who operates a raffle without a valid license issued by the sheriff as provided in this Code section commits the offense of commercial gambling as defined in Code Section 16-12-22 and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished accordingly. Any person who knowingly aids, abets, or otherwise assists in the operation of a raffle for which a license has not been obtained as provided in this Code section similarly commits the offense of commercial gambling. Any person who violates any other provision of this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature. Any person who commits any such violation after having previously been convicted of any violations of this Code section shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years or by a fine not to exceed $10,000.00, or both."

There may be more raffle-friendly states, but you probably want to get this hashed out beforehand, as I don't want to see anybody connected with p-t.com have any legal problems more serious than the occasional speeding ticket.

Are you serious? A small group of guys can't get together and raffle something without legal implications? Give me a break,I trust you Dave,I'm in for a ticket.Ron

Public raffles are a no-no in most states without the proper permits. You need to see if a private group can hold a raffle amongst its members for the sole benefit of its members.

If the shriners (awesome group btw) are getting a part of the pot, I bet they may already be set up to do this so maybe run it through them.

And I'd be in for a ticket if the shriners are invovled.
