I'm looking at installing some shockwaves on my 08 Dodge Ram. There is no direct bolt in Shockwave for my year. For ref, its an 08 RC, SB, 4.7, 2wd
What are some things to look for when sizing the shockwave for the front?

Travel. Thats the main thing to look for. They are all identified by the stroke of the shock and length at ride height, you can get any of their ends attached (pin, eye, bearing or whatever). So yer ride height is gonna need to be determined. Then see how much room you have between the upper and lower shock mounts. Say its 12". You look at their site and fine a SW that has a ride height of 12". That puts the shock around the middle of the travel, maybe a lil more compression length. And remember, if its on a standard A-arm suspension the total travel of the shock may sound too short but you are levering it with the A-arm so the wheel will have more movement for a given SW travel. But really, its all about the distance between the mounting locations at ride height. Sounds too simple?? It is simple, its a air spring. They make one, I think, front SW. Its the 1000 series. JR
Oh, but call them, they are a great bunch of guys. Every time I have called the tech has been very knowledgeable and they really do know the product. And thats not even asking for a tech guy, thats the guy answering the call, amazing in this day and age. There was a slight digitized sound to the voice and it sounded like an Indian guy every time but hey.. LOL Just KIDDING!!! That was my credit card company. Hahahaha

We just built a Shockwave for the front of the 09 Ram. I have "heard" that the 06-08 is very similar. Have not tried it yet tho.
Here are some pics. Does it look similar? I know the back is definitely different, the 09 has a parallel 4 link with coils.

Did we really need to know this? I know I'm going to have a tough time with a mental image like that.... Poor little Indian... Trapped like a gerbil. I hope he's not being held against his will. Ok, I'll stop now. But I'll always claim that you started it.:enguard:
