Hy Guys I thought I would introduce my project. I live in Perth Western Australia, I purchased the car in August 2007 from a guy in Newport Beach CA.
The family and I had a holiday in the States September 2008 and managed to catch up with Frank,Lisa and Micheal from Prodogy and placed my order for a lot of parts to turn this into a nice Pro Tourer.
As you can see the car looked OK before we started, but as I started to strip it down I found lots of things that I was not happy about. They have put partial floors in and done a terrible job. My painter isn’t very happy about the rear Quarters either, so there won’t be much original metal by the time I am finished. I am replacing the full floor, Boot floor, firewall , both rear quarters and since I am shaving the drip rails and putting a 6 point cage in it I might as well replace the roof as well, as it will make the cage install easier.
I am hoping to get the car ready for SummerNats 2011 Australia's lagest car show. The car will be pro touring but will see regular ¼ Mile action.

Wow, so you bought a really nice parts car then?? It looks like it will be really nice when you're done. Is it hard or expensive to get parts for American cars in Australia?

I have imported all the parts I need and freight is expensive but if you want it you just have to suck it up.

Not difficult at all, and because it is pre 1989 I can leave it left hand drive.

Yes anything newer than 1989 would require a right hand drive conversion, and some of our Australian Design Rules are very hard to meet. (ie) crash testing.

wow that could be expensive, but kind of the same in the US, but dont have to convert to left if right but has to be on a approved list to import and then be modified with crash bars and what not

Hi Guys time for another update, I spent the day blasting and priming the inner sections of the car so I can start hanging panel, I really hate rust and as you can see in the pics it hides it self well, I would really hate to build it and have it come out later.

I wasn't happy with the semi flat firewall, so I decided to start putting together a new flat firewall.
I made up a template out of cardboard.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2009/08/attachmentphpattachmentid2740d1251034108-1.jpg
Transfered it on to 16 gage sheet and cut it out with the plasma.

OK just a quick update, I have changed the name of the thread, to better reflect the situation.
While at SEMA I place the order for all the parts for the engine, Its a 462 RHS combo running Manley, Jessel and Callies parts. Hoping for around 750 HP at the flywheel.
The car was delivered to a Perth rest shop called Rowe & sons a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully I will have some update pic's soon.
This is a new rendering of how the car will look, the color is Sting red with metallic silver stripes.

The guys at Rowe & Sons have been flat out on my car the last 2 weeks and hopefully it will come home in the next week or two, so I can start on my part.
I will be fitting the car up with the suspension and making sure all the other parts fit, It will then go back to them, they will make the close out panels over the rear suspension and get painted.
I know you all like pic's so here it is now.

Greg - sick build for sure! Two questions:
- Does the RHS motor require an external staged pump? Or will a GM factory oil pump move enough oil to the rear tank...
- Where is the upper shock mount? On the cross bar?
Thx!

Hi Ron,
The shock mounts are on the frame rails near the Watts link mounts.
For the oiling in the RHS motor we are using a Katech pump that Is high scavenge and high pressure.
