Had a most amazing day and got to visit Military Vehicle Technology Foundation in Portola Valley, CA. http://www.milvehtechfound.com/index.html

The Foundation is home to almost 300 tanks, other armored and non-armored military vehicles, artillery (self-propelled, mortar, rocket launcher), armored personnel carriers, destroyers, and much more. We saw a Panther Ausf. A (one of six in running condition), M26 Pershing, M5A1 Stuart (light) and a M4A1 Sherman (medium) tank, among many other cool stuff.

A complete history of this incredible collection and it's history is on the above website. Sadly, Jacques Littlefield (founder) passed away earlier this year but hopefully this incredible collection will continue on ...

Here's a few of the 350+ photos I took yesterday.

That's way too small but I think this one should do quite nicely ...

Love the older Russian tanks. I know I've seen a pic of this one

(the one on the left) somewhere else before - or perhaps a diecast version of it - but I don't know where.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

I was up at Fort Knox a few weeks ago, driving down the road and of to te ight there was a bevvy of old German tanks and possibly some Russian tanks along with some WWII US tanks and APC's. Next time I'm up on that post I'm definately going to ask to take pics.

Not sure but I'd bet we'd have to time it in furlongs for distance and fortnights for time.

Come on down to LA LA land and take a ride in my Mighty Mite. Not quite a tank, but it's the right color.
