I have a 105 amp GM alternator and was worried if that 20 Amp connection was going to be a problem. I plan on running 8GA from the alternator to the switch.

Also, The car is EFI and I was wondering if damage could occur to the ECM and/or other electrical accesories. If so, is there a way to prevent this? I don't want the tech guy frying my ECM testing my battery kill switch.

For that kind of money I would get the Flaming River kill button, it has the extra alternator kill connections. $20 more can get you the Flaming River unit at most places.

You can get ones like in the pick for under 35$
