Hey guys,
I was looking for a back issue of Camaro Performers that came out sometime in the summer or early fall of 2008. There was a camaro rendering of a green hybrid type of camaro. It was a second gen camaro with a 1969 front clip. I was wondering if you knew what magazine that was and what was on the cover so I can order the back issue.
Thanks!

It was the "rendering" of the issue. We run one per issue now.

Keith Kaucher did it. I google imaged it but the site was denied, all you can see is a thumbnail.
This was what I punched in:

I kind of like the look of the rear spoiler... but... the '69 front end doesn't look at home with the 'swoopy' rear of a 2nd gen.

The thumbnail from the artist's site says october in the name so it should be this one

The rear end looks awesome, spoiler, taillights and all.

I would drive that bad boy!!!
I like the back end idea. However, the proportions are all wrong in this rendering. The actual product would look like crap and not flow well at all.
OK I just looked at it again. A real life version of this would need to start life as a 69 and be turned into a fastback to look and flow like the rendering. Are we positive that is was suppoed to be a 2nd gen with a 69 front end and not a 69 fastback?

yeah i just checked my mag pile... its the october 2008 with the orange 71 on the cover.
and yea youcan tell its a 2nd gen by the roof/windshield/rear window.
and it the artical about it the artist says "the real car is based on a 1970 1/2 to 73 f-body and graphing a set of 69 front and rear quarter panels in place of the stock sheetmetal."
but i agree the rendering look so bad azz but i think the real deal would look kinda off when proportioned right.
