Well, I wish I had thought about this BEFORE I had a $70 custom line made up today...but the "issue" didn't dawn on me until just now.
As some of you have seen I had custom lines made due to my new PS pump and new reservoir. Well I took my old lines with me just in case they would need to re-use something. Turns out they DID reuse some of the parts so I'm glad I had them.
Okay, the bad part comes in because apparently the "pressure"
fitting on my old line was NOT the correct fitting. Luckily this place I'm at has an old piece of crap Blazer out front. So I'm gonna just take the fitting on THAT one. And even MORE luckily there's another truck beside that one with no motor in it. With a similar steering gear. So I just stole that one.
Oh, and I should mention that I've got a "mystery" steering gear - one I believe is from a 2nd or 3rd gen Camaro. It's a very fast ratio.
Well I get back home and start thinking more about it. And I Googled some articles on Chevy High Performance and Car Craft.
They show these little adapters to convert from the "older" style fittings to the "newer" style fittings.
What I need is for someone to confirm I've got the correct fittings. Looks like I've got a steering gear with the metric O-Ring holes and looks like I've got O-Ring fittings. Am I correct???
Top one is the pressure line.

These look like different types. But the lines are the same??

What do you guys think? Am I good?
