Anyone know if/how a 5-speed from a V-6 Camero will work on my Pontiac Engine. Will it hold up? These are plentiful and very cheap around here.

you will break it. no question about it. input shaft and gear strength are not that of a t56

Damn!! I was hoping to have a 5-speed in my car for $100. Guess it is more realistic that it will end up costing me more like $3000.

A TKO 500 or TKO 600 will bolt right up to your Pontiac bellhousing and it will hold up fine. It's not going to be $3000 either.

I was looking at the ones that Keisler Automotive Engineering has and they are almost right at $3000. That is the tranny, shifter, backup switch, speedo switch, new crossmember, and driveshaft. Have any other sorces?? By the way, your car is what has inspired me to build my 70 Judge this way. Purists are going to ****!! Screw em!! Its my car!!
