I have a 468 that puts out 525 to the flywheel and I'm looking for a fuel injection to use thats not going to break the bank.

It's not cheap no matter what route you go.

MegaSquirt. Effective and cheaper than alot of the other routes you could take. Just did my buddies 331 Stroker in his Mustang. Worked out perfect and runs better that it ever has.

When it comes right down to it, you still need to purchase everything for any FI system...Injectors, distributor, ignition, throttle body, IAC, MAP Sensor, O2 Sensor..yada..yada
The only thing that's different is the ECU's.. Accel DFI Gen 7 is my first preference and Fast XFI is a close second. They give you everything in a nice package with a bunch of cool controlling options as well as user friendly software. The only reason I put Accel in front of Fast is because of the software.

There is always the new Fast self tuning system:

About $2200 for the master kit which supports up to 550HP. You don't even need to change your manifold, since its TBI. Comes with everything you need including fuel pump and lines. If you have a compatible fuel pump you can get the basic kit which is about 1800.

Been getting some pretty good reviews, might be worth checking out for a budget EFI build.

Holley's kit has a very nice EFI single plane manifold, fuel pump, harness, all sensors, billet throttle, wideband O2 and everything else needed for around $2500 from Summit. Great support forum over at Chevytalk.com in the EFI section.

Mine's supporting ~640rwhp just fine on my 383 SBC. The manifolds were originally designed by Cutler.

Here is a link to another thread about EZ-EFI

Look like EZ-EFI can support up to 650 HP by upping the fuel pressure.

I am a megasquirt user and with so many variables available for any engine combination, I recommend it! learning curve is not so easy however. but its well worth it in the end.
I dont know where these hp limits are coming from? if your ecu can support the injectors and the drivers for them are not overworked, then there shouldnt be a hp limit.

im running 8 50# injectors. good for 800~hp
