A friend invited me to join. Is anyone else here doing this? Am I the only high-tech geek nerd? :)

If you have time to twitter you are NOT spending enough time in the garage. :) :) :)

Guilty! I spend a lot of time in the office over the garage writing, so no matter what, I don't spend enough time in the garage. :)

I really see these social networks as generational focused. I've over 30 and few of my peers or associates participate in these and usually only with family.

The stupid news casters here in FL, and the FOX people are "tweeting" sounds so gay!

I'm so sick of hearing about that crap!!!

I joined Facebook because a lot of people from high school(small school/small town) man, most of those people have no life except for that style of media,

I rather go stare at my Fikse wheels!

I'm on twitter, although don't use it a whole lot. A few of our vendors at work use it in addition to some of my family and close friends.

I am over all the next new social networking spaces.
I have here, ChevyHHR.net, Facebook and LinkedIn, all I need.

I haven't really seen the value of most Twitter 'feeds'.

There's linked-in, which is more a professional contact organization.

But Facebook says it's fastest growing demographic is 50+ who use it to try to keep in touch w/ family and find old long lost friends. (Note this could be misleading- if you have 2 people in a demographic, and add 2 more, yu've doubled the size of the demo. Since the are already a billion or so youngsters on Facebook, it takes a big number of new subscribers to make a big impact. One of Twains' 3 kinds of Lies- Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics caveat)

I agree...

I would think if most people really cared out what their friends were doing, they would call. Do most people really care when someone they know is sitting down eating a donut.

I could be wrong, but isn't it just a place to write what you are doing throughout the day.
