hey guys, a customer has been waiting on his car for over a week now and i cant figure out my brake issue. i have a '68 390 4 speed car with stock disc/drum setup. my proportioning valve has a brake pressure switch that keeps leaking. it isnt leaking at the port on the valve but through the electrical connection on the top of the switch. this is the 3rd switch ive tried and all of them have had the same problem. any answers will be a huge help. thanks.

I'd say to try a different supplier. If all else fails plug the brake switch hole and see if it cures the leak.

the plug keeps the idiot light on the dash on. supplier really isnt the issue b/c its a FOMOCO item.

Well if they all are leaking, maybe there is a bad batch. Try one from napa or another store.

Plug the hole and determine if that is 100% the source of the leak. If it contiues to leak then the proportioner is the problem bad threads maybe.

Maybe look at the possibility of when the threading was being done at the assembly the tap went in to deep and caused a minute crack in the body, at the hole your describing. This could be why all the ones you've tried are leaking, since they were probably all bought from the same run.
Just an idea...
