Hi, My name is Jeremy im new to the pro touring scene and i have a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am i was going to set up for pro street but i seen a couple of pro touring cars and instantly liked them. If any of you guys have any information that i could use to get started on this i would be greatly appreciated. My car is completly stock now an when i finish school i hope to get started on it look forward to hearing from everyone

Welcome Jeremy! Looks like you've got some work ahead of ya there. There's a number of people with 2nd gens here who've posted build threads and specific project threads. The search function is your friend.

If you have a specific question about an aspect of your build post it up and you'll get a bunch of quick answers. Want to know if something fits or works for your application, there's probably someone here thats already done it or tried it and you'll get a quick answer.

Welcome! I love those late 2nd gens. We have a really nice 78 Forumla we are finishing right now. Cool cars indeed.

Welcome to the site! It's good to see another '79 owner. I wouldn't call my car pro-touring yet, but the goal has always been well-rounded performance. Here's what I've done so far: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2179841

Does your car have the Pontiac 400 and a 4 speed or the Olds 403 and 3 speed auto? (or a transplant or no drivetrain to speak of?)
