no supposedly it should improve fuel economy but maybe it is just a hoax.

Federal law requires automakers to achieve certain average MPG for all cars sold. With the billions that the worldwide auto industry spends on making cars more efficient don't you think they would of added something as simple as magnets to the fuel line by now?
I think mythbusters also covered these types of devices.
I have a client that received a whole fleet of free electric carts (step up from a golf cart) that could do 30 mph. the only catch was they had to plate them for the street. The motivation for Ford to give them these was that it improved their average fuel economy stats.
