Sorry if this is in the wrong section. But im looking for help with a transmission Crossmember. I am running a TH400 with a gearvendors O/D in a 72 SS Chevelle. Its a BBC with a 12 bolt. I have the stock crossmember but obviously with the Gearvendors its not fitting correctly. Any one have suggestions. Modify the one if have?. Have a tube crossmember built? If so, any suggestions on who can do that?

Thanks for any suggestions
Chris

Hello, it is a 72 SS Chevelle that I put a BB into. I am using the stock cross memeber which came from the orig th400. ( My car is an orig 350/th400 car). I purchased a street strip Hughes Tranny and added a GV overdrive. and for some reason the Cross member is not lining up.

thanks for any suggestions.

do you have it the right way meaning have you flipped it around, you can put it both ways the trans tab facing the front or the rear.

I have a turbo 400, GV in the Caprice. I had to cut and fabricate the transmission brace for the GV to fit. It's all worth it. I think I have some pictures, I look for them and upload later.

Sorry, I looked on the computer @ the warehouse, but was not able to find the pictures of the cross member.
I have a 68 442 on the lift now no motor. "It's a pusher" The motor goes in next week and I well see if I can snap a few pic's for you.
I did find something on the net, it look similar to what i did, and it's for a 68 Chevelle. Hope it helps.
