Recently installed the G-link on my 69 Camaro vert, looks great. However when I went to install the 3" exhaust there was NO WAY to go over the axle, even thought about 2.5 " but my exhaust people stated it wouldn't fit. Went under the axle. Has anyone had similar/different experience.

I went over using 2.5 inch mandrel bends.

I think Frank is selling a 2.5 inch exhaust pipe for the G-Bar.

Dave, I have the G-Bar. Sorry, I just assumed the clearance would be the same.

On Velocity we went under the rearend with a 3" exhaust. The car is lowered to the point where the rearend is quite far up into the car. It is a straight shot from the mufflers under the rearend, around the tank and out the back. Sounds easy but we made our system from universal stainless bends from Stainless Works. It was a bit of work but its looks and works great. It doesn 't hang down like you would think...it actually tucks up in there nicely.

Try doing an exhaust system with a truck-arm set-up. Near impossible to get it past the rear crossmember much less run it all the way out back. Can you say sidepipes?

Thanks all, I have Flowmaster 50s that hang below the axle and it was also a straight shot under the axle. The installation is clean and solid and is quite a good distance from the axle and alot higher than the lowest bracket on the G-link. I think it will be safe from axle bangs and the concrete. I just have never seen or heard of exhaust below the axle until now.

I have stainless 2 1/2" tailpipes that fit Original G Bars / Prodigy Bars and new generation G Bar / G Links / G Billets. You must use a notched corner fuel tank. I have a video I will post later when photobucket comes back.

Thanks Frank. I can see where you would have to notch-something.
Tight fit. Got a Ricks tubbed tank that has been further modified with baffle flaps, and powdercoated. This is my third tank, fourth pump and alot of time invested in my fuel system. hate to notch it.
However I'd love to see pics of how you squeeeeeeezed those pipes in there.

If you have a minitub tank there is no need to notch the corners, it is already narrow enough to run the pipes. That is what I have and there was plenty of room to run around the tank.

I believe it is 19 tight bends and 1 cut and weld
