Hi to all. I am new to the pro-touring scene. been kinda stuck in the eighties for a while. You know, wide centerlines, tall tires, extended shackles, no hood. you get the picture. I'm sure there's a lot of you with fond memories of metallica, ac/dc, or van halen cranked in your car or a buddy's with all the prerequisite 80's garb. In a recent issue of Hot Rod, i saw the optima challenge and the lateral-g website. that got me hunting and i seem to have landed here. i love what i see, and the 68 firebird is again changing directions, this time on purpose and without any help from my right foot. i love the information and detail. living in arizona, i will get the opportunity to use it year round. can't wait to see some of these beautiful cars in person. again, hi to all.

Thank all of you for the warm welcome. I will get some pics as soon as i get a new dig. camera. The thought of year round use is the driving force behind the new turn of events for the ol' bird. however in AZ the prerequisite is tinted windows and a real good a/c. I love the color black, but so does the sun.
