The recommendation from amcmike was to start my own thread about this system so I am taking his/her advice is search of information which may be helpful.
From the Fast EFI thread:
What about this system from Retrotek. I am a newbie to alot of this stuff but this looks pretty simple ($1600) .. http://www.retrotekspeed.com/product...ii-system.html (http://www.retrotekspeed.com/products/powerjection-iii/powerjection-iii-system.html)
Am I right that I need another module to control spark/ignition to use this in a LS2 w/ a carb style intake? What is recommended?

You are correct, the system is not setup to run the multi-coil ignition. You'll need to run a seperate setup like the MSD controller which runs about $320 from summit. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MSD%2D6010&N=700+115&autoview=sku. So now your into is for almost $2k, and it's not even sequential.
You'd probably be better off using the factory system with software that allows you to tune it yourself, or have a shop do it.

Thank you amcmike.. That makes alot of sense and is good info. The L92 GMC carb intake I have now does not have the 8 injector bungs so I was looking at this as an option for TBI. I would come out better swapping it for the other one w/ the bungs (or machining them in) and using a factory system w/ tune. The older ECMs would control the trans as well (I think) and that would save money as well since I would not have to buy another controller. Since this is a from scratch build I am having to piece together everything for the car over and I want to spend money wisely. Thanks Again.

If you're already piecing the system together, you might want to try the megasquirt II system. It won't control the transmission though. It will allow you to run either as a TBI or a batchfire port injection.
I think the Megasquirt III might be available soon, and would be an even better solution. I think that one will allow trans control, but you'll have to research it. Either have the option of running a wide band O2 which will help in tuning (or you can use a seperate wideband O2 to tune - make sure it's a true wideband sensor and not a narrow band sensor that's been cobbled to attempt to read a wider range - they are not accurate since a narrow band sensor does not have the resolution needed outside of stoich.

P.S. You might want to change your subject title to get more feedback from others. Something like "L92 Injection with Aftermarket ECU". :)

Thanks amc.. That Megasquirt site made MegaMush out of my brain (but I am trying). As far as intake, now I am looking at the L76 GM intake that includes injectors and everything for about $600. That seems to be alot less expensive than buying individualy the injectrs/rails/TB vs. the GM carb intake and buying everything individually. I just kind of wanted it to look old school under the hood and use the cowl induction in the Camaro. I am having a hard time finding it in stock so far. Looks like I would need to change the TB out to a cable unit. It seems like there was a web site that offered that as a package but I do not remember who it was.
First things first though, I am trying to decide if I am going to put a stroker kit into this motor right now. It already has a busted rod/missing piston and the crank will probably need machining. A balanced stroker kit may only cost a little more overall. If I do then TBI may not be the best option for the rated HP.
Thanks amc for your time.

I can't seem to change the title on the front page. I will keep trying. Thanks.

I think you'll like the factory setup. There's software available that will allow you to go in and do calibration changes yourself.
Since you have a little time, I'd recommend downloading and read though the Megamanual. It's an excellent source of tuning information even if you're not using that system.
This way, you can buy the software to modify the factory settings. You'll also want the wideband 02 reading as a tuning aid. Speaking of which, Innovates Motorsports website also has good information on tuning with a wideband sensor.
Good luck with your build.
