Wow, some great, incredible rides here. I love the protouring look and style
I wish to build my 1970 Barracuda Convertible into a better handling, more modern look.

I cannot decide on rims that would suit my car. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site. Beautiful car you have there, I love '70 Cudas. What size wheel are you looking to run? A nice set of 18s would look great on that car. How about Budnik Tillers? http://www.budnik.com/roadwheelitem.asp?scid=53&pid=506&pg=5

Honestly, I would limit myself to a 15-inch tire wheel combo; classic Mopars just don't look right (in my opinion) with oversize tires/wheels. If you absolutely insist on oversize wheels, then get a set of 17-inchers. Anything much larger than that and you start losing the advantages of lighter weight/lower center of gravity.
A set of American Racing Torq-Thrust TTs in a 15 X 8 1/2-inch size would look REALLY sweet on your 'Cuda!
Merely my opinion.

Welcome to the board. Fords and Mopars share the same bolt pattern, so you might consider using one of the modern aluminum wheels that Ford produces. Here's a 17"x9" cobra that we were test fitting on my Road Runner along with one of the 17"x8" Bullitt Mustang whels I usually run.

The nice thing about them is they are factory quality, inexpensive, and the Cobra's can be powdercoated to whatever shade you like.

You'll need to run a hub-centric spacer with them.

They're a little too modern for me. We were test fitting them to see if a 255/55 would fit on the front of a b-body. There is a company that makes Bullitt's in 17x9 and 18x9 so I'll probably buy a set of those.

Hello Peter Actually you are the reason that I am here. I saw your posts on moparts.com for pro touring. My next project is a 68 Road Runner.

Those are sweet! I really like the look of a high tech 5-star on vintage iron! I'm looking a similar set for my Chally Convert...

BTW -- How do you post pictures in your message? I've tried several times...zero luck! :throw:

I couldn't resist doing a photochop of my own... bigger wheels, similar in style, but not the budniks. Still, I think bigger wheels fit the look just fine... check it:

There is a section called "Attach Files" that allows you to add files from your computer.
You get to this section any thime your reply to a thread. (or so it appears to me, but I am also new here)

I tried that...it always returns an error message. It tells me it can't find the server... :hammer:or some crap like that!

So the saga continues...
