I thought this article was kind of cool. A designer decided to sketch out what a Viper would have looked like had it been introduced in 1967 as a competitor to the Vette.

Has a distinct European look to me, not something coming out of Detroit at that time. IMHO.

Yes but don't forget that Chysler had a habit of getting Ghia to do bodies for them.

Way too much Mid 60s corvette influence on the front end.

Pretty cool except for the style of the headlights

the 'vette wasn't like anything else either. and a lot of the concept cars at the time had so-called euro influences. the 2nd gen camaro was all new and different from the previous, showing distinct Italian influences.
I'm always impressed w/ the loyalty and imaginations of the mopar fans to come up w/ 'what should have been' kind of stuff. I saw an article once on a guy that built some 2nd gen superbird and daytona cars; or at least, how he envisioned they SHOULD have been built.
nice showing of respect for the legacy, good stuff.

I agree that it has a strong Euro flare to it. I like it except for the headlights. Lots of great details, nice proportions and very well executed. It appears as though he couldn't break away from some minor modern surface transitions he's probably used to doing. I don't know if I'd recognize it as an "vintage Viper" if I hadn't been told though.
Looks like a lot of Alias work, must have taken forever to build that model.

I agree with the euro look too and that if the word Viper was not mentioned, then I would not have linked them together.
Either way, someone took a lot of time to put those 3D models together and did a great job! Good looking car IMO :1st:
