I am looking for a good example of a 1969 Olds Cutlass W 30 for a PHR feature. I am in Chicago area so it would be great if there was one near here. I need to shoot this feature fairly soon so any help you can give me would be appreciated. You can PM me with any info. Maybe you know someone? Thanks.

Hey Chili. Ya, when he did the rear of his car he ordered one offset and got another, and by the time he got it finished and noticed the mistake the stores (Super Shops) were out of business. He also did all the work him self and really didn't know what he was doing when he started, but turned out pretty good, except for the offset. He knows what he needs to do to fix it, but like he says he doesn't want to tear it back down right now he enjoys driving it to much.

i should be more clear on one point. the car we are looking for is a factory correct version. Not a PT, but send me info on the PT cars for other possible feature ideas. Thanks for all the input. It's very much appreciated.

I'd put a call in to Joe at The Parts Place in Elburn. He started his musclecar parts business selling only Oldsmobile stuff.

sorry, haven't been able to turn up any locally other than that '68...

The body on a friend's '69 W-31 isn't quite magazine ready...

Good luck, you're asking for a pretty hard car to find. They weren't that fast due to the 400 engine they were required to use (tiny bore), and therefore aren't overly popular among the collector crowd.
