How come I delete music files from my laptop but it doesn't remove them from the iPod when it syncs up?

Is your iPod set up to manually sync music?

On the iPod or on the laptop? Laptop is not set that way, should it be?

Upon closer investigation I think it did delete the files I deleted, but some of the ones I added artwork to did not copy over to the ipod. So I assumed it was ones that I deleted, because all others have artwork on the laptop.

So why doesn't some of the artwork copy over?
