I am in Mid-Missouri and am trying to put together a 79 Camaro with a ls2/4l60e and am close to having it able to pull in and out of shop but ran into steering problems. The stock pitman arm hits the altenator. I was wondering how I can fabricate to work around this problem. I know I am messing with the steering geometry and am worried about that . If I move my idler arm down the same amount I need to move my pitman arm down will I be alright. I am lost. I would like to keep the altenator were it is. I do have some skills in machining so any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Dan
