What to ya'll prefer? This is a pretty accurate point of view for me, the 2 outside gauges are partially blocked from my view by the steering wheel.

3 3/4" Mini Monster mounted on the pillar
2 5/8" Fuel
3 3/4" Speedo
2 5/8" Oil Pressure

or

2 5/8" Fuel
5" Tach
5" Speedo

I think the first pic looks alot more symmectrical and even. The second picture just looks outta balance to me. That would be my preferance at least. I vote for the first picture.

I hate tachs on the a pillar. Christ I can barely accept the fact that my boost and air/fuel is on the a pillar haha

I like the second one. Keeps everything where it should be.

I prefer the second layout but I like the smaller gauges.

But I am biased. :) I like the tach in the middle.

This is the set-up I am running until I finalize the design for my new dash insert and build it. 3.75 speedo and 3.75 Mini Monster tach.

Here's what we did in our S71 Olds dash... the volts are low 'cause they're not essential at speed, the tach / oil pressure next to eachother for quick info, and the boost gauge to the right 'cause everyone in the car wants to be able to see that one.

Pillar mounted gauges look so stale dated, go the other route IMO.

oestek, that looks great... I wish the 69's had the same dash layout.

I actually like the tach on the pillar, one of the old school styling ques that I think looks good... Assuming it's a clean installation.

Think I'm going to go with option #1, if I don't like the tach on the pillar, I'll swap it out for a 3 3/4 "in dash" tach and call it done.

The Mini Monster and in-dash tachs are the same size. You just have to use the pillar ring to mount the tach in the dash. Plus you get the shift light capability. My in-dash speedo is the same bezel size as my tach.
