Anyone had any luck running a 275/40/17 on the front of an 86 Cutlass?
I plan on buying some used 17x8.5 Rondell 58 wheels with a 5.25" bs. I know I'll have to get some adapter/spacers because of the backspacing which will help me set the wheel just about anywhere I need it to within reason.
I don't plan on lowering it much if any. Is this just too big to keep from rubbing? If I can't keep them from rubbing I will probably go down to a 245/45/17 on the front with the same rim.
I plan on the 275/40's on the rear, I'd just like for the bulge of the tire to be the same on front and rear if possible. I know the 275's will have more bulge than the 245's will. Think it will be really noticable running both 245/45's & 275/40's on an 8.5" rim?
What are your thoughts on this? Is that just too big a tire for the front both fitment wise and looks wise?
