Hey everyone. I've got a 1969 Camaro indy pace car tht i'm trying to build into a pro-touring car. The big problem is that i don't want to destroy the value of the car so nothing can be permanent.
Also, because i live in WI where the roads are as rough as the Oregon Trail, my car can't ride too rough.
Kind of a tall order, i know. So far i have stock 5 leaf rear springs and a Steeroids rack and pinion setup awaiting install. If anyone has any suggestions... i'm all ears!
Thanks, Jamie
PS, heres the last car i built;

I'm in Rhinelander. In case you don't know where that is:lmao:, i'm 1 hour north of Wausau. We are just now getting enough rain to finally melt all the snowbanks in my yard. Sheesh:banghead:

We used to come over to Rhinelander to party when we were at my buddy's lake place by Crandon. This is 20+ years ago.
Nice looking car!

Why would you come here to party?! I've gone to Brush Run over in Crandon a few times and NOBODY parties harder than those animals!!

I am trying to get it ready for the show at the Dells in the middle of May.

I was there last year. It was good time. Made it to the award ceremony, won a plaque. I don't go for the show competition, just to have a good time. The participants are known for tearing up the town at night. The police put an end to that last year. Hopefully, I'll see you there.

I heard about some of the post-show antics. a co-worker friend of mine belongs to a Stealth/3000GT club and he's told me about how they leave the show and hit some backroads at "triple digit speeds". In a single file line, nose to tail! That's just asking to kill someone!
Thanks pimtina!

pimtina,
Maybe, I'll see you at the "Lube" this summer? They have their car cruise-in on Thursday nights.
crusty,
In years past, the whole town was enveloped in a haze of tire smoke. Street races everywhere. Now, they have extra local police, county, and state patrol swarming the town. It's still a good time though. It's the next best thing to the Power Tour.

I don't know Marty, i think Car Craft Nats is better than Power Tour. Then again, i've never done the "long haul".
No matter what though, anything's better than being at work!
