i finally got a shop to install my tvs sytem on my 67 camaro convertible......it really helped the performance and ride quality!! but i thought i would lower the front and rear. he front seems to be lower and looks good but the rear appears much higher than before....could the shop have done something wrong? you can stick your complete hand in between the top of tire and lip of the fenderwell.............

I'd loosen the front leaf eye bolts a bit and drive the car around the block, then tighten them with the weight of the car on the wheels. The front A arms to the frame need to be tightened with the car on it's wheels too, - if you have stock rubber bushings.

What David said. Also, often times we install these springs in the place of worn out 40 year old mono leafs that sag. the worn oringal springs can make the car lower then a lowered spring.

It kinda sounds like the rear shackles have been tightened with the car in the air. Those are also supposed to be tightened when the car is on the ground. Doing it in the air can cause bind and do just what's happening to your car. Another question though. What size tires do you have in back?

245-40-18 tires in back.....the front sets good and looks good, but the back has the70's-80's look like its got air shocks. the car doesnt have any bounce in the back end like it used too.....but i was hoping to get the rear tires a little closer to the top of the wheel well. i will say that it drives like a totally different car now, WOW, what a difference. i have 2 1/4" of threads showing on the u bolts, so i was wondering if i could put a spacer in there to drop the rear end a little more?

Well, there are a couple posts missing now. One by a Hotchkis rep. Oh well. Gotta do it again then. ANYway... Yes, you can put a 1" lowering block on it and see if that helps out any.

you have to loosen the spring bolts enough to allow the bushings to rotate with the weight on the suspension first.

thanks guys.....i'll loosen the bolts first, see what that does then get the blocks next....
