I'm just relaying a post on 69stang.com on other forums I frequent; here's the message:

The vehicle is heavily modified so it should stand out and it's possible some of you have seen it at shows in the past. The owner (who I don't know personally) is trying to find it and hoping it will turn up.

Here's a link to the thread on another site with pics, OT stolen 69 Mustang straight out of the garage - THE H.A.M.B. (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345105)

Someone on here may just happen to see it, or parts of it, wind up on Craigslist, Ebay or maybe even have seen the car since yesterday. It's possible the thieves may try taking it to Mexico or get it into a container for overseas. The more people know about this car being stolen the better the guy's chances are getting it back.

It says it got taken from the South Bay. I'll be keeping my eyes open for the car and any lowlifes taking cars. Rat *******s.

It was stolen from Palos Verdes...in SOCAL.

That really sucks! I wonder if a car like that would get stripped and sold as parts. Seams like it has a lot of custom and distinctive parts in the interior. I guess you need to have extra security on your car AND on your garage doors. How about a padlock on the garage door track or latch? :)

It would be too valuable to strip IMHO, I think a quick repaint, swap the seats, re-ID the serials, THEN ship overseas.
It is a REALLY nice mustang, I hope they slip up and get discovered.

I saw a camera yesterday on the garden channel that was made to take a picture 1 time a minute to every 10 minutes and give you a time lapse photo of your plants growing.

One of these I thought would be cool to use while working on the car to get some cool shots.

Now I'm thinking it's not a bad idea to get one and have it hidden so it will take pics while I'm gone and just reupdate it as neccessary.

I didn't get the name of it but it sure was cool.

Hope they find the car!

Jim - many modern point and shoot digital cameras have a time-lapse feature built in that does exactly what you're talking about.

You'd probably want a more sophisticated system to take care of your garage though. Costco sells some multi-camera systems that don't look bad.

You can get a video camera for your garage that has motion detector built in. a lot of hunters use them at there feeders to see what is going on. It takes pics or video and stores it. check carbellas

Great. Just what I need. 100's of photos of myself drinking beer and scratching my head trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing.
