I call it Pro-Grandma!
Just picked this up.
30000 actual miles.
New brakes, rebuilt carb, new gas tank, water pump. Runs and drives great! Original paint. Came from the original owners through a friend. Pretty solid for a midwest car. If only it did not have those 2 extra doors.

clean up the body, slam it on air ride, some nice wheels, simple interior, mild v8 and you have a sweet cruiser

I vote change nothing you can see.
Upgrade the HP, big block or LS engine!
Very cool car. If it is from the sixties, even 4 doors look good to me.

I dig those 61 impalas. Wheels, lower it, fill it full of friends, cruise.

Co-signed. Maybe a set of poverty caps also. leave the paint alone. Very cool car. 4 doors are still cool. Nice score!

Pro Grandma......LOL!
I like it Blaze! Those rear sunshades are cool. I drive my 63 Biscayne daily from Spring til Fall and it's a blast. Just throw some wheels and tires on it and cruise the hell out of it. Tim and I have driven this car all over the midwest and it's the most dependable old car I have ever owned. Have fun!!

Keep the stock six, until its time to swap in a 4200 inline 6 + turbo.

I got the stock dog dish caps to go back on. I'm gonna clean them up and respray the wheels the stock color.

I would for the time being keep it stock drive line, but the cast iron glide is prone to being junk, swap in newer glide or some form of OD, get some flat or semi gloss paint in nearly same color.
A do agree, give Bret a shout at ART and get it on air, plenty of room to remote the front shocks so cool ride would be cheaper.
Get some 17s or 18s made to look like steels, update the tires, FI the 235, tint the glass, fill the trunk with tunes, maybe even update the brakes.
OH and if you work up the body think of this, shaved handles and suicide doors, sweet!

Very Cool! I too vote to leave the outward appearance alone. Wheels, tires, lower it and enjoy it. Shiny examples are everywhere. How many like this one exist?
