Call Schwartz performance. Jeff will set you right up.

Edelbrock has LSx mounts and headers for a bodies. Not sure which pan they use.

DSE has a new line of suspension mods.

I'd also be interested if anyone sells minitubs.

Here's a link to my build thread here on the Pro-Touring forums that might help. My '64 Tempest is exactly the same body and chassis-wise, other than the difference between '64 and '65 styling of course:https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48361

Same thread, different forum, with a little different input from the membership and perhaps some additional info as well:http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/showthread.php?t=576137

I have started to prep the car and I'm pretty much still in the parts collecting phase. I'm close to getting all the stuff I need together now and can start throwing parts at it very soon.

Hope this helps you see what options you have and which direction to go.

No minitubs needed, just split the tubs in the car and add a three to four inch strip. That is what we did on my car four years ago and so far so good. Most people have to look twice to see how we got 345s out back.
Street and Performance made the headers and mounts for mine and they work fine. We only had to do a little hammer work on the tunnel to get a 4L80e to fit. My car has 12K miles on it since built, so I am pretty happy with the way all the parts worked out. I think Frank still has a lot of build pictures of my car on his website if you need some pictures. PM if you need a particular part info.

Bill,

I am curious how you opened up the wheel well. Mine looks like you would have to notch the frame to gain any room for larger wheels and tires??

yes, you have to move the frame rails in. These were sectioned on my 64 along with the 3" metal strip on the inner wheelwell as Bill described.

It did not effect the tank or seat in my car. We moved the rails back out behind the wheelwells. You can go to prodigycustoms.com and see plenty of pictures of the transformation of the GTO frame, but very similar to Jody's malibu.
