spun up some center caps on the CNC Im not a big fan of the stockers so I made these bullet looking ones... They are not polished yet.

Which would you use.

Dude, the bullets just look better. Just so long as they fit over the spindle cap up front, I don't see any reason for even questioning it. I say do it.

By all means, use the bullets! The stock ones look like they're for a truck.

They look nice, but if you rounded off the top just a bit, they'd really fit the wheel. It would look more like the profile of the holes in the wheel.

Way better than the stock ones...they don't really fit the look of the wheel at all.

I agree, a slight radius on the tip and they would be perfect.
I guess this means you found a way to stuff a square peg into a round hole lol.

Not lowbuck how? LowBuck X (me) made them with $12 worth of recycle yard finds. I wrote the program I made the fixture to hold the square stock. Yes its not realisticly repeatable by everyone but then it wouldnt be cool...

Ummm..... I think he meant it doesn't look like it's low buck. Looks better than low buck. Nobody will believe what it cost to make them.

The new caps don't match the style of the wheel in my opinion. The originals are not really too attractive, I can see why you made your own.

I'd want a set that were made to be as short as possible, with a flat area at the top that's about 1.25" to 1.50" in diameter but using about the same approach that you started with.

Nice job on the caps, the style is just too pointy.

They would look right on an old hot rod or a custom, just not what I'd want on a Pro-Touring car.

LOL

You know the hub centers on a NASCAR hub have that almost cylindrical form with the corners radiused a bit?

I'm thinking something a bit like that might look better.

This one is a little too conical. But if that flat were 2/3 or so of the dia?
