I mounted up the spectre intake kit today. I'm on the fence about how it looks...
What do you think ?

not really a fan to be honest...
Well, it's not as bad as glass radiator hoses with led's all over the place.:enguard:
Serioulsly though, I've really tried to like those types of air filter set ups, just to be different. I even seriously (briefly) thought about buying one for my Camaro at one point. But, to me, it just seems out of place on a carb'd car. To run a tube intake system like that, the car should be fuel injected, turbo'd, supercharged, or any combination of the three. But that's just my opinion, (and not my car.)

Now if you ran the ducts all the way through to the front bottom valance then it would be a bit cooler. Instead of cowl induction front cold air induction.

I don't love it or hate it. It has a twin turbo vibe going...but it's not. I like the extension into the valance idea mentioned.
It does appear to have a major clearance advantage?

I did have a major clearance issue with it already. I had to take off about 3/8 from the plenum.
I also like the idea of the extension into the valance area too. Going to play with that one tomorrow.

Oh definitely post pics if you do it. Be a pretty cool mod especially for those w/o a cowl hood.

The fact that they leave it to draw the hot air off the headers leaves something to be desired. Extend the tubes and run the filters where you can get some cool air to em, it'll be a bit more functional.
