Hi Guys and Girls

Need some info on fuel pump pushrods.
I have a 350 ZZ4 with the "Hot Cam" kit installed.
Do I use a bronze tipped or a standard and what length??

Thanks in advance

Kenneth

Yes use a bronze tip rod and the GM melonized distributor gear.
Just order for chevy v8

Oh No thats what I feared.
Have had some pressure problems and have just invested in a complete new system from RobbMc. The "BIG PUMP", fuelregulator and sending unit, running 8 AN lines and 2 big filters
When taking the old system apart I found that the pump pushrod is the ordinary one, NOT the bronze tipped one. Are you absolutely sure I should use the bronzetipped one?????
I am going to install the new system anyways since the old one is rather old.
BTW, the RobbMc parts are sooooo nice.

Yes you need bronze tipped rod. Hopefully the old rod was polished enough to not damage cam, if so the only way to go is electric or remove cam and get cam grinder to reweld it and regrind it.
Why everyone doesnt use hollow, bronze tipped fuel pump rods on all cams is beyond me, had one laying around and buddy had just put in new Crane cam and needed one, so he installed it, 130,000mi later it still looks good but crane cam had always sounded like had bad lobe and sure enough it came out with round lobe syndrome. guess the warranty isnt anygood now either haha.

Well there seems to be different oppinions here. Others say to use the normal one including a chevy performance parts dealer, so I donīt know what to do, but taking into consideration that I am having fuelpressure problems even with the new pump, I think you might be right.
